Hello ! Is there a way that I between shows I can keep my lights on a constant on without dancing to music. For example if I wanted to have a show run from 5-530 and then at 5:30 have the lights remain constant until the next show ? Let me know what I can do ! Thank you to all

If you want lights on Steady for a half hour after the show 5:30-6, you'd create an ANIMATION {.las} file with all the lights you want on during that time.  Then you can add the Animation file at the end of your song list under the Musical tab where your music files are, to add an animation file, click the + in tn the Musical tab in the LOR Show Editor, when the musical sequences pop up in your show set up, now go down to the lower right while the Musical Sequences directory is showing and change the Musical Sequence to Animation Sequence, add your 30 minute Animation Lights On sequence to your song list, it should appear at the bottom of your song list once selected.  if it doesn't appear at the end of the list, it should be there somewhere in the list, locate it, click on it, then use the arrow key to place it at the end of your show song list.

Now for this to work as correctly as possible, your MUSICAL SHOW must RUN EXACTLY 30 minutes and your ANIMATION FILE MUST RUN EXACTLY 30 minutes, this way, if you have your show set to start at 5:30 and end at 10:30 for example, then your show would run like this:

Show 5:30-6, lights on 6-6:30, show 6:30-7, lights on 7-7:30, show 7:30-8, lights on 8-8:30, show 8:30-9, lights on 9-9:30, show 9:30-10, lights on 10-10:30. {END SHOW}

However if the timing IS NOT exact for the show sequences or the Lights On sequence, just a few tenths of a second or even a second or two can skew the timing of it running perfectly at the times given as example above.  In the example above you will have a total of 5 shows and 5 Lights on after each show.

Also if you add any new songs to extend your MUSICAL SHOW, you will also need to edit and change the length of your lights on time so this all works together in half hour increments.

Good Luck!

Okay ! I will try it out. Thank you for your help!

I am going to give my standard response to people wanting to a show at specific times with either static lights or dark between "shows".  Unless you have some insanely good reason to do it this way, don't.  Let's say for example that you have a 20 minute show that you want to run every half hour.  That means that 1/3 of the time, the yard is static or dark.  That means that 1/3 of the people who drive by expecting a show, will see static lights or dark and they will just keep on driving - and they likely WONT COME BACK - EVER.

I could not agree more.

They ask, I tell them how to do it.  It's their show, so if that's what they want, so be it.

But personally I agree with you Jim and MichRX7, don't do it.

I use background sequences to keep specific lights on, mainly to light my 66' handicap ramp so folks can see to get to my front door, so it's specifically for safety reasons that I have some lights set as static during my show.   Fortunately they are dim enough they don't distract from the show, but bright enough so you can see where you're going without tripping!

But I don't do the static thing between shows exactly for the reason you said in your last sentence Jim.  You hit the nail directly centered on the head with that one.

I tried that one year, and it really DOES NOT WORK for those coming to SEE A SHOW to see static lights or the whole house dark outside.  very discouraging, as no one wants to wait it out to see if something happens.   I've been to shows that do this, either I caught the end of a show before the yard went full dark or static lights came on, after about 10-15 minutes, I drove off and never went back.  So you're absolutely right on with: THEY WON'T COME BACK EVER!

I'm glad you said that.  I am doing my first show this year.. if I ever get it up and running.  But I wanted to do the loop of the same six sequences I purchased ready to go once I load them on the SD cards.  Is that what you do?  Only I'm sure you all have a lot more shows than 6 But I got started late and I'm not doing too well with the basics at this point.  Is there a trick to running the loop?  Just asking in case I get there and can't figure it out.

No matter how many songs you have, as long as you set a start time and end time for your show, it will loop the songs until the end time comes, but also note, the end time show may only run2, 3 or all 6, depending on each sequences,length.

So if you set a start time for say 5:30pm and an end time at 10pm, the show will play all 6 of your sequences, then loop back and start them over until the end time, 10pm is reached.

I create a very short animated sequence (5-10 seconds) that runs between songs.  Not so long as to bore anyone, but just long enought to provide a small intermission between each song.  I agree you don't want your house dark or just static lights for extended times (even a minute can seem like an eternity if you're standing there waiting for something to happen).
