LORMOnitor Error with Enable Show in S5

I have 4 arches and an Alphapix DMX controller.  I wanted to schedule some animations while I install the other lights, but when I go to Enable Schedule I get an LORMonitor error 8002 message - Open of Serial Port has failed.  This is with LOR 5.3.10 Pro.  I can run the animations manually from the Sequencer, and can talk to the arches with the hardware Utility.  So the software definitely knows the arches are out there and can communicate with them.  But I can't enable the schedule.  It is as if the Schedule expects to see an LOR controller in the network.  Thanks,
