2 of my 4 controllers forget their unit id

Whenever my controllers loose power they go back to their old unit I'd they were last year. Is there a bios battery like on a pc?

Which controllers?  A lot of them have hardware switches that will override the setting in the Hardware Utility when the controller powers up.
