Mclaptop
I am looking to join the LOR family this year and have a question regarding the LOR-1602 unit. If I do not purchase the 1602 with the DC-MP3 upgrade, am I able to add it to the box later or do I have to provide another enclosure and daisy chain to the 1602.I would love your insights. Pay the $250 now or cheaper later? Thanks,Warren

Would come out to be the same as a showtime box.I use the director to run my show and LOVE it. No need to lock up a computer for the season. I think it is worth it.Harrison

Dale W
I keep my MP-3 director separate from my nearest controller. In fact, I keep it inside the house next to the computer and just run a Cat-5 from the MP-3 Director to my closest controllerThat way, if I want to upload a sequence to the card (because I want to change something up), all I have to do is remove the card and load it without having to go outside and fumble around my controller with a flashlight. In addition, if cars get too loud, or if it gets too late, I can kill the show by removing the card regardless of what time it is.I love my MP-3 director and am very pleased with it's applications. May not be a deal-breaker, but keep it in mind. The mini director is an option to provide control to your LOR network, but does not have a clock so you will have to kick off the show manually.
