PatrickNew Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I started up my machine the other day, and went to start working on one of my sequences. I started the sequence editor - and nothing happened. I rebooted the computer and nothing happened again. This machine worked just fine the other day, and now its not. I don't use it for anything other than LOR. The hardware, control panel, schedule editor, and show editor all work just fine. The only thing that does not work is the sequence editor. I uninstalled LOR completely, and reinstalled, and I'm still having the same problem. I'm running Vista on that machine. Oh, and I've also tried launching the sequence editor from the LOR folder, the control panel, and from the start menu - all with the same result... Nothing... When I look at tast manager, I don't see any processes or applications that are not responding. HELP. Christmas is too close for this to be happening. ThanksPatrick
iresq Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 When you uninstalled, did you run the regwipe program?
Brian Mitchell Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Which version LOR are you running?
PatrickNew Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 I'm running 2.0.16. I tried running the registry wipe, but it did not make a difference... Any other thoughts?
JR V Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I just reinstalled on my wifes computer about a week ago and had a similar situation. We are on XP thou. What I did was made sure all of the LOR folders got deleted after uninstall. MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR WORK FIRST. Then reinstalled LOR. After that everything worked just fine. Was kinda weird.

Any other thoughts? When was the last time you used the sequence editor?Sounds like the older version that expired.A quick check is to move the computer date back to 1/1/08.I had a similar issue when I updated to 2.0.16. Instead of updating, it installed another sequence program. 2 separate links. Version 2.0.14 was still there but would not work.Good LuckScott
PatrickNew Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 I am so embarrassed. I thought I was upgrading to 2.0.16, but apparently I still had the upgrade to 2.0.12. Upgraded to 2.0.16 and everything works just fine. I'm so embarrassed. Thanks a million!Patrick
