bossgroove
Bought them at Lowes. 2.48 a strand. 23.5' lighted length. The colors I remember are red, green, purple, yellow, blue, clear and multi. Alot of choices for icicle lights. Net lights only came in clear and multi. I need red, green, and blue each for my net lights. We purchased 168 strands and some other building materials for arches, mini trees and mega tree.Met Bruce in line in front of me. He mentioned something about the amount of lights we had and I noticed a tomato cage in his cart. So, I asked if he was building a mini tree. He was a very nice gentleman, and hope to keep in contact with him. What are the odds to have another LORer in line with you?
Mike Berck
One tomato cage? That's a plant corral. Now, eight tomato cages and we're talking Christmas!
bossgroove
It was more than one because they were stacked together, but it was really neat that we could pick each other out of a crowd. Well, my purchase may have been easy to asses.
Videoguy84
I'm going to be checking Home Depot frequently within the next few weeks. Last year HD sold out of ALL their LEDs within days of putting their Christmas stuff out, and they said they would not be getting any more in Don't want to run into that situation this year, as HD is one of the few choices for LED in my area. I only wish I knew where some of those lights went, because I don't see too many big displays or LOR being used in my town :?I may also try a couple of these online stores I've seen linked here, they seem to have the best deals so far. JeffF
It feels good buying Christmas stuff doesn't it? The family and I went to Target today and the wifey was surprised to see all the Christmas stuff out with the Halloween stuff. I wasn't thanks to all the online help here. At any rate, walked out with three 23" incandescent snowflakes and 400 universal gutter/shingle clips. They will hopefully be getting more of the snowflakes in because I want to get a bunch more for fillers. And the clips can't be beat at 100/$4.They had loads of incandescent and LED lights. Didn't notice the LED prices or lengths because I'm an incandescent kind of guy, but the 100ct incandescent lights were $2.48 and had a lighted length of 24.8ft.-Jeff

Well, my purchase may have been easy to asses. I'm the one mentioned here. I was just getting a couple to run a test on the amount of lights needed to make it work. Gives me an idea of how many trees I can make without buying more lights. These are the large cages. Its always cool to meet another enthusiast. And he was easy to spot, large flat bed cart filled with lights, hmmm.
