Thanks but I was thinking of the cheap mini lights for this year. I'll give LEDs another year to drop down in price before I jump in.

I personally would try very hard to go LED, the savings in electricity will be quite substantial, even with minis. I'm trying to make the push to all LEDs this year, but seeing as the number of LED strings I own is zero I feel your pain. If you're using LOR and the icicles won't be on constantly (like mine are) then the electrical savings might not even be enough to outweigh the cost of LED, in that case the cheapies will prolly get you by...if you can find them.

For the most part I guess mine are off. I hadn't thought about it that much since everything is based on that rare occasion that I turn all the lights on at once. I total agree that with that style of display the savings for LED is not as easy to realize. That's why I planned to stay with the minis this year.

However, if they don't exist I can always say that I switched because I care.....
