tonybiviano
What gauge wire is used in the typical light string? Also, does Light O Rama or any other vendor sell just light string plugs with the two wires coming from the plug?

If you are talking standard led lights that you buy in the store they are usually 20-22 gauge wire. A good place to buy online led lights with a great quality is HLE. https://www.holiday-light-express.com/
k6ccc
As for your second question, are you talking about traditional 120volt AC strings - like darn near every retailer on the planet sells starting around October? If that’s not what you’re talking about, please be a bit more specific about what you’re asking about.
TheDucks
There are Vampire (SPT-1) plugs with Fuses, similar to the type used with many 120V strings. Many 120V strings run a Hot and a common to an outlet on the far end.. The Hot at the plug end ALSO feeds the first LED (or mini light) the Last bulb, ALSO connects to the common at the far end. The fuse is protection against overloading the tiny wire, especially when daisy chaining
