Sound levels?

I know I saw somewhere on these forums of sound levels. My issue is that my FM transmitter works great but my speakers from the house have sound levels that are either too low or too high. It seems I need to equalize the sounds so some of the songs are not low or too high. Trying not to [Foul Language Used] the neighbors off. What if any software do you use to make all the songs/sounds the same? Hopefully there is an easy way to keep all the sounds the same. Thanks Steve
