lstewartff
How hard is it to resolder the connector back in place. I have one that will not detect a connection and it feels loose. The other cat 5 connector works fine. Not sure what happened to it. It worked fine last year and got it out this year and it was messed up. Also can the controllers be hooked together with telephone wires?
k6ccc
Yes, you can use the telephone wire jack and cable. Another option is a RJ45 splitter and then a SHORT cable from the splitter to the controller that only has one working connector. This should be considered a "get it working for the season" fix, NOT a permanent fix. After the season you can replace the bad connector. If you are proficient at soldering small stuff, it's fairly easy. Here is an example of a splitter... https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIABU95S26466&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC-_-pla-First+Link's+Marketplace-_-Cables+-+Network+Ethernet+Cables-_-9SIABU95S26466&gclid=CjwKCAiAiuTfBRAaEiwA4itUqA77NJCKxAsxWTiXRFwdIcEvID8lNKqmqgS6hQiYr8a1yQr8FBqMrxoCim4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
