Controller Trouble

I have seven controllers and controllers 1-4 are working fine until I plug the cat 5 wire into output to go to controller five. At that point controller four shuts down and green light starts blinking. I tested each controller with laptop individually and all are fine. I swapped out controllers and does same thing. Any ideas????

What level software do you have?  Have you swapped out before and after?

ASSUMING the other end of the cable is NOT plugged i:

That sounds like you are shorting out the network:. A bad (damaged, crushed spot) CAT5  cable OR Bent / out of place pins in the RJ45 connector.
