Water fountain controllable light

Hello all-

Looking for something to be able to control color of a dancing water fountain. I’ve been looking at various ring type LED DMX lights, but I haven’t found anything with a DMX 3 or 5 pin end. Any ideas for either a LOR light or DMX light I can use to light up the stream of water as it shoots up that’s obviously ok to be around water? Thanks!

Are you up to doing DIY modifications?

Around or IN (submerged or heavy flow) water?

LOR 10W floods are rain resistant, are RGB (3 color leads plus +12V)

:Remember Those DMX devices  also need POWER. best to avoid line voltages near water., otherwis, just change the connectors if the fixtures do what you want. Amazon lists many 'cable glands' that can be used to seal the connections (most require connector-less cable to start)

I’ve been looking through some of topics, I guess I am just struggling on how to light the water up best. I’m not trying to do anything crazy with the nozzle like movement, just controlling the water height. I’m just stuck on how to make the column light up as well as change color using LOR software to tie into my light shows. Maybe I missed it in the forums ... ?

I do own the LOR 10 watt floods, but still not getting the effect I want. It seems like most successful ones have a type of ring with the water going up in the middle of it.

I know you said you are looking for lights that can be controlled for LOR software. I wanted to do the same with my fountain. I never found any I wanted.

I did finally settle for these, they are bluetooth controlled and music sensitive, meaning they will flash to the beat. I've used a few times *(within a show), I loaded the song onto my phone and started it (bluetooth) the same time the show started with that song. Almost nobody knew what I did, but the down side is you have to be there to control it.

These are the lights I used. Got them from Amazon. Mine have been submerged underwater (fresh) for going on 2 years now. Still work great.

Thanks Alan.  I will look into that as a potential option.  Still been striking out trying to find anything like they use at disneyland World of color, or sea world in Orlando.
