Papa-LF
Ever need a helping hand aligning those Triac's while assembling a CTB16 kit, or something similar?Well - I like using the heavy heat sinks on my boards which leaves the standard heat sink as an extra part. Why not use that to build this simple jig. See the pics below -Just solder one lead of your two end triac's in place - (3rd picture) - slip the other components in - slide on the jig - and then it's mate - clamp with these high technology paper clamps - solder it up - and Shazam! Your done in less than half the time and your components are straight and will mate up to your heatsink with no trouble. Now Hows that for simple.....http://www.papasplace.us/jigs/SolderJig1.jpghttp://www.papasplace.us/jigs/SolderJig2.jpghttp://www.papasplace.us/jigs/SolderJig8.jpghttp://www.papasplace.us/jigs/SolderJig6.jpghttp://www.papasplace.us/jigs/SolderJig7.jpghttp://www.papasplace.us/jigs/SolderJig3.jpghttp://www.papasplace.us/jigs/SolderJig4.jpghttp://www.papasplace.us/jigs/SolderJig5.jpg
