gametech
I have a new computer to do my show and i do not have access to the old computer as it died, I have all my sequences backed up on thumb drives. I just bought some more controllers and would like to copy and paste channels to them but is says "data from encrypted sequence cannot be copied except on the sequence's originating computer". Is there any way to get around this as I stated the old computer died. Thanks Rod
Mr. P
Sounds like a protected sequence, without the original computer that made it you are pretty much out of luck.
k6ccc
The first question is why were you saving files in protected format? What that does is makes it so they can be edited, or played ONLY on the original computer. The only possible workaround (and I don't know if this will work) is if you can install the hard drive from the old computer and run it on the new computer. Even that likely won't work, but unless LOR jumps in here with an answer, it's worth a try. For future reference, DON'T save a protected sequences. Don
It's not a protected sequence. The sequence was created with a demo version, and never resaved with a licensed version. (Or something along those lines.) As such the sequence is encrypted (not protected). Your only two work-arounds are to get the old computer working and apply the license there, or submit a help desk ticket.
