Cosmic Color bulb string 50

I have a controller with two 50 strand cosmic color bulbs. I have been able to narrow it down to one strand of 50 cosmic color bulbs not working properly.  The first 9 bulbs in that strand work, but the rest do not.  Is there anything I can do to fix this strand or should I just order a new strand?

First Question: Are they still under warranty? File a trouble ticket.

You have a bad pixel (chip) or a damaged wire between the last good and the next. Do you have the proper voltage at the end of the string (Pwr to Gnd) Yes, then the issue may be the chip . Could be the last ON fails to pass the bucket of bits to the next, or the first Out chip is dead   or data line is broken. .

You could cut out the first OUT pixel, then splice the leads. If that does not work, then cut the last ON pixel and re-splice. Be sure to test the end of string voltage before cutting. at worst, you have a string of 48

Seems I lose several every year. Finally took the string with the most bad lights and am cutting it apart for replacement bulbs to be spliced in as required. My CCB's are rigidly mounted, using the Boscoyo mounting strips, so no stress on the wires. These strips are then ty-wrapped to rigid 20' lengths of conduit. , so believe it is a design or quality issue within the bulb assembly itself
