How long should S5 take to upgrade an lms file to S5. It has been running for hours now!

And it was a small sequence.

Running the latest version of S5 downloaded and reinstalled just this morning.

The time it takes to upgrade a sequence depends on the number of channels in the sequence and the speed of your computer.  But a sequence of 100 channels should upgrade in 10-30 seconds; and 1000 channels should upgrade in 1-2 minutes.

If it is taking hours then something is hung up. Please open a ticket with the help desk and attach the sequence to the ticket. Thanks,

Matt

It takes a good five minutes to upgrade mine.   That is about 5600 channels and it's on a screaming fast gaming computer.

Well - I finally killed the process after it ran for well over 3.5 hours!!!!!! I'm submitting it as a bug to LOR Help Desk.

Do I remember that you are running LOR on a MAC via a PC emulator?

Just for grins, send me the .lms file and I'll see what I can do with it.

jim at k6ccc dot org  (obviously in normal E-Mail address format).  Zip it before E-Mailing as that makes it FAR smaller.  If it's still too large to E-Mail, do you have a website or file sharing site you can upload to?

Thanks Jim. I've already got the file and am taking a look.

I am a Mac person - but my LOR has it's own PC running Windows 10.
