Pixie 2D Sequencing Issue

I recently purchased a PIxie2D. I am using Basic Plus software for sequencing v4.3.34. I have no issue setting up the device in the hardware utility, but am unable to add the device in the sequencer. Any help? Tired setting up as DMX; however, under edit, dmx preferences, it won't let me select the option. Is my issue that I need to purchase the Pro version of software? Any tutorials out there?

Please fill oy your profile to give everyone the basic information about you.

Also how many controllers in total do you already have?

The pixies will use 2 Unit ID's. If you have a basic or basic plus and you already have 1 or 2 controllers you will not be able to set up the pixie in SE

Give us more info to go on.

Off topic- I retired from the Army Fort Drum. Watertown was where I purchased an entire garage sale LOR setup including the laptop. 2006. Small world.

Also, you can't use DMX on a Basic Plus license. Please go and compare license levels so you understand what you can and can't do.

Also, the Pixie controllers only work on an LOR network and not DMX unless you get the DMX version.

I don't even think you can use any RGB items on less than a PRO license level.  That's why I upgraded to PRO and S4 this year because I just added 5 CCB-100 controllers to my display and 10 strands of RGB lights.  Also had to buy a new High Speed Dongle since any other lower level dongle will create severe lag time with other controllers, like the CTB16PC if you're using them or any of the ~AC~ Controllers.  The RGB stuff needs to be on a separate network, I have an USB485B as Network 1 and Regular LOR network for my ~AC~ controllers {4 CTB16PC} and an High Speed USB-RS485-HS {Red dongle} as Network 2, Aux A, Enhanced for my 5 CCB-100 RGB Light Controllers.

I really think the OP needs to upgrade to the PRO license to do what they are trying to do.  And may need to get an HS dongle as well, if they haven't already purchased one.

RGB is a little more complex than the ~AC~ light controllers.
