Does anyone know where you can get extra 4 wire pigtails that come with the 10 watt rgb flood lights? I am wanting to put a backup controller together in an enclosure, but cant find any pig tails on the lor store site. Does anyone know if they are available from lor or if there is another vendor that you can get them from?

Thanks Wayne

You could buy the extension cord and cut it in 2 pieces. http://store.lightorama.com/10wafl10exco.html

Use (the correct :P ) 1 for the pigtail and use the other for any project (I use the mating cord to feed 3 (white LED) strips in a candy cane propeller)

I purchased these pigtails off of Amazon. Good quality pigtails with 18 gauge wire. Delivery was fast and all 25 sets worked.

Thanks for the info, but for me that would be a waste as I don't have a need for the other end.

Does anyone know if this plug from holiday coro will fit the 10 watt rgb : http://www.holidaycoro.com/product-p/736-m.htm

Thanks

Wayne

NO!  They are way different. I know because they are what I use for all my OTHER RGB.

(The plugs and caps, new at HC this year are great for protecting threads and contacts during handling leads  or unused pigtails)

I have a bunch of 4 wire pigtails that I got from Ray Wu that I'm selling.

I had them made to 18" long.

As stated above. Are they compatible with the ones lor uses on the 10 rgb floods?

There are many pigtails out there that will physically fit. However the pin outs may differ even from batch to batch.

It is a good idea to always check which color wire goes to which pin with a meter.

  • 1 month later...

Had the same issue and resorting to cutting LOR extensions in half

I had some 4 pins from Ray that seemed to fit and still couldn't get a consistent connections (pin-outs were different, but I fixed that)
