pouterson1
I need some help on this one. I created a new Preview in PE to test some mini trees I built out. Now, when I go to load my sequences that were built with a different view, all of the data is wiped off of the sequence. I go to load the view that I created the sequence in and I still get a blank slate. All of my sequence is gone. Can someone help me restore the work I put in? Thanks. Dennis Laff
When you created the sequence in pixel editor did you save it in the pixels editor ,before closing the pixel editor .
pouterson1
Yep, I did save it. I'm actually trying to load the saved file and it blanks out. Edited November 19, 2017 by pouterson1
MattBrown
So you used the "Assign Preview" command to change the preview to one with just the mini-trees? Did you save the sequence again after assigning the mini-tree preview? Matt
pouterson1
No, I did not assign the mini tree preview to any of the sequences. I actually created a test sequence to just for the Mini Trees. Since then, I would bring up the sequence and it would default to the mini tree preview I built for the test. At that point, I change back to the original preview but everything is blank. Fortunately, I backed the sequences up to another machine. I was able to copy and paste them back into the sequences I'm working on. Is there a way to set the default preview to my main preview I've created, not the test preview? Thanks for the help, everyone.
MattBrown
There is not a "default preview". A PE sequence is linked to a preview, and it will stay linked to that preview forever, unless you use the "Assign Preview" function to link it to a different preview. Also, the link is not based on the name of the preview. Each preview has a hidden unique identifier associated with it and that unique identifier is stored in the PE sequence file. So you can rename a preview and sequences will stay linked to it. Matt
Talley
Matt, this is my first year with PE. I daisy chained everything together, I can find all my controllers in HU, I can test the pixels, but when I go to play the sequence I get nothing! What am I missing PLEASE? pouterson1
Thanks, Matt. Can't figure out what happened. I know I didn't assign the mini tree test preview to the other files. I got it back, fortunately. Backups are always a good thing to have! Paul

Talley
So my entire show works, except my new pixels. CCR's work on a different network, my 6 LOR controllers work, HU finds all 6 controllers and the pixel controller but nothing happens in to the pixels in PE or SE when I play my sequence. Is the network you are trying to control from PE marked as "enhanced" in LOR Network Configuration? There is a list of things to check when the lights don't come on in PE: http://www1.lightorama.com/help/control_lights.htm Matt
Talley
ok, so I checked the enhanced box on the network. I tried to simply play the pixels due to the time for neighbors, and still nothing. I also now cannot get comm listener to stop running to run HU. When I clicked the enhanced box though it did tell me that it only runs the newer controllers, does this mean my older ones won't function properly? If so how do I resolve that? I can't thank you enough btw!!!
Talley
so I got HU up, it still found all 7 controllers. Should the sequence play when I play SE? If so I'll try tomorrow, just was hoping withe that enhanced box checked it would play on PE too. Thank you again!
