nmessick
I'm having some trouble to get my pixel strings to respond as expected. Using LOR Pixie8 boards. WS2811 400hz strings from ebay. When I turn on Channel 1, I get 3 pixels lighting up (red), Channel 2 and I get the same 3 pixels in blue. Whatever I do, I'm expecting to see 1 LED light up and I get 3. In the config utility pixels per port and resolution both set to 100. Any idea whats up?
k6ccc
Are these 12 volt pixels with three REG LEDs per WS2811 chip? If so, that is exactly what should be happening. If you look at this photo, just to the right of the blue heat shrink tubing is one WS2811 chip. To the right of the chip, you can see three square white LEDs before you get to the next WS2811 chip. It's the number of WS2811 chips that matter, not the number of LEDs from a sequencing standpoint. This configuration is VERY common for 12 volt strips. You CAN get 12 volt strips that have a single RGB LED for each chip, and almost all 5 volt strips have one RGB LED per chip. Strings of pixels (as opposed to strips as shown in my photo), are more commonly individually controllable per pixel.
nmessick
Mine look kinda like yours, BUT... if I hit the test button on the board the testing sequence lights each LED individually.

If your look like that, they don't light up individually - period.

See the CUT marks. Groups of 3, which is common
