toymakr000
I finally finished my winder. I've been working on it for acouple of months. It works really well, at least as well as I had hoped. It can easily pull 150' of 16 AWG cords up the driveway.http://bazillionlights.com/Images/2007/windermovie1m.wmvhttp://bazillionlights.com/Images/2007/windermovie.wmv Attached files

Fred
Dude, is there anything you can't build?!?I MUST learn to weld.
toymakr000
Fred,I think if I'm interested enough in something I will build it! I'm very interested in a full suspension kite buggy right now.......1/8 scale model built. Thinwall conduit mock up being built right now.Fun stuff! Actually, my wife wants to leaarn to weld so she can make a snowman on a trampoline wireframe before Christmas... She's a very crafty/scrapbooking type of person so It's going to be cool turning her into a metalworker:cool:
Fred
Now there's an idea! My wife's crafty, too. I should send her to welding class! When I was 18 years old, I worked for Chicago Bridge and Iron as a welder's assistant. But, I didn't last long enough on the job to ever learn to weld. Instead, I spent most of my time trying to learn how not to fall off the steel It's a wonder I survived that job.
