My Problems Fixed

It looks like my other thread has been locked....

Anyway, I took Dan's advice and checked a few solder spots, I "Think" I might of had a solder bridge on "r1" (The black chain resistor). I took the u2 from my ctb08, the same chip as "u1" on this kit, and what do you know? It works! I am very happy now .

The only problem is that the hardware utility is reading it as an "Unknown Device", so after a quick search, it seems to be wanting LOR2, so that is installing now.

Thanks Dan for all your help! I guess my ctb08 will get that new chip. Would that be a problem?

Next, I think tomorrow I will go over the traics one more time to be positive they have enough solder arround them. Then into the box it goes!

Thanks Again!

EDIT: LOR2 just finished, it found the correct name.

Not necessarily LOR2, but a hardware utility newer than 1.6.3.. I know 1.6.6 hardware utility identifies at least last years PC controllers correctly. I think there may have been an intermediate level that also worked.

Ah ok. I think I have version 1.5.3 or a-low number 1.6.x on my CD, I didn't bother installing a higher 1.6.x, because that computer "should" have LOR2, as my computer has it and they need to be compatable.

Good point though!
