LOR item delivered, but no package?!?!

Hey all,

Just a quick question for you all. Have any of you ever ordered from LOR and UPS says the item was delivered, but you never got the item??

My items from the summer sale were delivered today, yet. . . No such package was ever delivered. It's not that the package was delivered and then stolen, because our security system automatically records movement on our property and/or people who approach the front door, or ring the door bell. Well, no motion was ever dectected and no one ever came by to deliver the package, yet it says the item was delivered 5 hours ago. . .

I'm stressed because I'm not sure how long it could take to get these items to me, or replaced, or whatever happens. . . And I'm afraid I might not have them in time for my Halloween show.

Have any of you ever dealt with a similar situation?? If so, what came of it?? Thanks in advance.

Possibility that it was mid-delivered.  I've had that happen before.

Like Dennis said, call UPS.

I got three of my neighbors packages on three different days a few weeks ago.  That's definitely a possibility it was delivered to the wrong house.  Even though my neighbor did everything is power to shut my display down the last few years... I still delivered to his door, didn't knock just left there as I didn't want F Bombs dropped in my face which happened the last time we spoke last December...  Hopefully your stuff shows up tomorrow!

Maybe they delivered to the wrong address.

I'm betting this is the deal. Why would it be marked delivered if the package wasn't delivered yet is beyond me. Because they use scanners when action/movement has taken place.

+1 on delivered to the wrong address. It happens quite frequently, sadly...

If you do need to call UPS, ask them what address it was delivered to. I had an order (not from LOR) delivered to an address of 557 instead of 577. It turned out that somewhere in UPS the numbers got transposed.

I hope your order gets to you today though. :)

Later,

Al

I've had some packages that show as delivered, but not to me.

They went to the local post office which then delivered them the next day. That's probably why UPS is asking you to wait 24 hours.

I've had my spring sales items delivered to the house next door. Good thing she loves my display.  Also sometimes it is delivered to the local post office, for them to deliver, not sure why.

I have only had this one from things ordered and come FEDEX for part of the trip, which can be tracked, then the USPS takes over for the final jaunt of the packages journey, however, it never says "Delivered to MY address" until UPS leaves it on the door step or the USPS has put it in my mailbox.   But it will state "delivered to or handed off to" the USPS when they are the last Carrier that will finalize and make the delivery.

@DisneyMatt10: But if UPS says it was "delivered", then the driver either placed it at the wrong address, or and this has happened too, thinks it may be something valuable and heisted it to try and sale and make some fast bucks off the item.   Seen many stories on that kind of thing too.     Really hope it's just a mis-delivery and not something else.    Then again, UPS just leaves packages on the stairs that are outside the homes where I live, anyone can see the parcel and come take it if they want too, so even if mis-delivered, the person that got it could lie and say they never got it, or someone really may have stolen it off their porch, stairs, wherever the package may have been left at the incorrect address.

I know, not good thoughts, but you've got to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best outcome possible.

Good Luck, hope it all works out and you get all your items and able to get your Halloween show up and running.

Thanks to social media, and UPS I managed to get my package today!! Turns out the driver delivered it to the wrong house. UPS had him go and pick it up, and then bring it to our house.

So glad to have my items! I was able to test all my floods for the first time tonight, and they look amazing!! :)

Okay... I know this particular issue has been resolved in a good way and I am glad, but I thought I would share another experience that is unique.

I order a telepresence robot (a Beam+Max) and it was a 3 day FedEx delivery.  The company made a mistake and shipped two, a rather big mistake (they cost $4000 each). Both arrived on the same day with very damaged boxes.  So much damage that had I been in the lobby when delivered I would have insisted on inspecting them before signing and accepting them.
As a side note... I did return the extra one...

Now for the interesting part.  As I unboxed one of the bots I found package inside my package. It was addressed to a local appliance service center. When I called FedEx to arrange for pick up it was such an ordeal.  I had to pass it off to one of my employees and it took him over an hour to get FedEx to understand and take action. In the meantime I called the appliance company and let them know what was going on. They too were confused, but finally understood that they were not getting their package on time (they chose not to come pick it up).
