EmmienLightFan
I have seen a lot of people on the forums who are not using DMX because they don't want to loose the twinkle and shimmer effect. Both effects are still there when using DMX, but instead of the effect being generated by the controller, the computer sends out a signal for each change. The bottom LED module was connected to a CMB24D and the top LED module connected to a 24 channel DMX RGB controller. Results would be different, if there were lots more channels connected. With large channel counts, LOR will be smoother. I will repeat the test with a few hundred channels.
k6ccc
I have several thousand channels on E1.31, and both twinkle and shimmer work just fine. There were times that around 4,000 E1.31 channels were in twinkle at the same time.
jstorms
I agree. There is no problem with twinkle or shimmer when using DMX on both LOR and E1.31 controllers.
