jerrymac Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 It seems I have used my allotment of space for attachments although I have not added any attachments for the last couple of years? What is up?
Mega Arch Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I always de-attach in the spring. That way I always have room for new attachments. Seriously, have zero idea of what you're talking about.
Don Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 The space allocated within each account is limited. I've requested that it be raised, but I don't make the final call on the issue, and have not been able to get it raised. I would use a 3rd party services for images.
EmmienLightFan Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 For images, I use Imgur or Photo Bucket of Google Drive. For files I use DropBox or Google Drive. All work well.Recently I have been putting files on my server for my website.
jerrymac Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 O.K. so how do I reclaim this mysterious disappearing space?
k6ccc Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Upper right corner of forum page, under your user ID, select the dropdown for My Settings. On that page, select Manage attachments.

On that page, select Manage attachments. It's now called "My Attachments" on the new forum, click it and then click the trash can icon to delete any old attachments. However, do remember this will delete those attachments that showed up in the previous posts you used them in! So those old messages may look a little weird if they reference the attached photo and it's no longer there {and you can't edit those old posts!}.
