I assume since my show is almost entirely RGB and most of the taction takes place on my pixel tree, any of my sequences would be of little value to you.

I'm sorry you had to learn this the hard way, but in the future, make backups regularly.  My suggestion is both local backups (CD, USB drive, another computer) AND also remote backups - either removable media that is taken somewhere off site (such as work), or the cloud (such as Dropbox, Goggle Drive, etc., or a backup service such as Carbonite), or both.

Personally, when I'm sequencing, I save the file with a new filename (Example: Joy to the World 2015-12-23 1505), every 15 to 30 minutes or if I'm going to try something that might screw it up and I want to be able to easily go back.  All files are kept on my server which has redundant hard drives in a RAID-1 array.  At the end of the sequencing session, the latest version is backup up to Google Drive.  Every weekend, the hard drive arrays on the server are backed up to an external hard drive which is then taken to work and stored there.  I have several external hard drives that are rotated through that offsite backup process, resulting in the latest backup drive is at work, so if the house burns down or a burglar takes everything, the backups are 26 miles away.  Once a sequence is completed it is copied to the hard drive of the show computer as another backup.  That also means that if the server fails (it did during 2014), I just change the drive mapping for L: (where my LOR files are kept), from the server to the local drive on the show computer.  One of my goals for 2016 is to add Network Attached Storage that will backup the server essentially in real time.  The NAS will be in a different building than the server.

Late in the season, maybe just go with a static light display for rest of season. Caulk it up to the consequences of bad planning...no backups.

You got mail Crash, If it wasn't for these on my SD card, I'd be S.O.O.L. this year too. Merry Christmas!

I'm not trying to pile on ... but everyone please make a backup ... NOW.

If you need a backup program, you should consider Acronis

*Disclaimer: I get a commission from that link.

Yeah, great advice but easily overlooked. The way I do my shows insures that I have to full copies on different computers, so I don't have to worry about backing up. I sequence on one computer, and run a batch file to copy only new files or files that have changed to my show computer. That's basically an incremental backup anyway.+ My method has saved my bacon more than once.  ;)

Hey Crash... check your mail... I just sent you over 100 sequences to pay with....

And like we all keep saying over and over... make backups...

you can zip and mail them to yourself and save the e mail...

you can get FREE DROP BOX zip and keep things in it.... etc...

Its not hard and doesnt take more then a few seconds to do it..

dont depend on trying to make backups on cd or dvd ... those are always getting lost... you cant loose your e mail if its stored on your ISP sever.... or in your drop box in a different place..  also DROP box as you can see from what I sent you makes it easy to share things to if you ever feel like sharing..
