Old Sarge

So... I remember seeing a few posts wondering what the hottest song would be this year...

Did anyone every figure out what it was and if so what age group was it based on?

Based on threds in the "sequence sharing" forum, far and away, it appears to be Let it Go. One older thread has a ton of views/post and is still going strong.

IMO, songs that have been popular in the past, are still the ones that people are looking for, such as many of TSO's songs.

So far with me, Let it Go, Rudolph and Frosty seem to be the favorites with the kids. The adults really like Christmas Eve in Sarajevo and Christmas Canon.

yw kingfish...

I have gotten a lot of requests for Star wars, God Bless the USA,the Temptations, Hot Chocolate, and a few for others like Let it go,  Russian Nutcracker dance, Panatonix Dance of the Sugar Plum, Jingle Bells Tuba, and a few others but none for more traditional things..

I was wondering if there was a just released new song that seemed to be a hit with the teen and younger crowd this year..

Star Wars is being released tomorrow so I am adding 1 minute 30 seconds to my show tomorrow. I found a Star Wars Uptown Funk mix which I will add at the weekend.

The Silento song is popular at my school.

My number one requested song is still Let It go. By a long shot. Second has been I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas.

Samer here for Let it Go. I have not had any one ask me about Hippopotamus for Christmas, good thing to, i dont know why, but for some reason that song drives me nuts.

Do You Want to Build a Snowman...

Followed in a close second with O Holy Night with Eric Cartman signing.

Let It Go was not as popular as it was last year.

I did the 2015 Oreo commercial and it was well received.

I've not really noticed. Then again, I run the gamete musically with anything from Transcendence by Lindsey Sterling to Do You Want To Build a Snowman by Stellar Kart to River Bank by Brad Paisley. Don't play a lot of traditional Christmas music. One song I recently instant sequenced to my display was Christmastime Again by Mercy Me. (I've learned the instant sequence feature in SuperStar can be your best friend and worst enemy.) My wife enjoyed Shut Up And Dance by Walk The Moon and Stay A Little Longer by Brothers Osborne.

My vote for the next hottest song for 2016 would be Christmastime Again by Mercy Me though time will tell.
