rickatnyte
Greetings,I'm a 100% newbie to LOR.I have my show up and running for this year.I bought an FM transmitter and it had a horrible hum that I just couldn't get rid of.I bought another FM transmitter to replace it with.It sounds great but when I hook it up to my LOR system, it makes it go wacky. It resets the ID of my number one controller to something random. My second controller works normally.I tried a different electric circuit and no matter what I do, when I connect the FM transmitter to the LOR system, it scrambles the ID# of my controller.Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you, rickatnyte
Jim Hans
Changes the controller? How do you have it hooked up? You should be running an RCA cable from the audio out of your computer or show director into the transmitter. I can't imagine how it could change a controller ID! Changes the controller? k6ccc
I'm with the other Jim - can't imagine how that could happen. What transmitter are you using?

rickatnyte
Thanks for all of the input.I have my show set exactly like the picture on the LOR website...http://www1.lightorama.com/typical-setups/Standalone Showtime Director.I go from the audio out on the Showtime director to my FM transmitter.Every time I connect the FM transmitter it scrambles the ID number of my main (#1) controller. It does not effect my #2 controller.Any help would be greatly appreciated. k6ccc
What transmitter are you using and is it or more importantly the antenna for the transmitter in VERY close proximity to the controller or maybe the cabling to it?
