utb ghost
I have multiple issues I wanted to troubleshoot today - HOWEVER - as I started this happended: Runniing 8 controllers, trying to add 9th to a neighbor - that was last nights failure, and for later. Ran show on 8 channels no issues. This AM, while fussing with controller 9, all of a sudden I could only find one controller, the first in daisy chain. Shut all down, and then re-established connection to controller 7, happens to be 2nd in daisy chain. It connects off my controller 1. Got my solid light ..... but when I plug in Cat 5 to go from unit 7 to unit 6 ( third in my daisy chain, I immediately get flashing light on that second unit (7) in the chain. I have all others powered off ..... again, it was all fine last night, and other than change controllers on the 4th house (controller 9) I did nothing else? Thoughts? Want to at least get my 8 controller show rolling this afternoon again. I'll be in and out tinkering , but I am baffled as to why my network of 8 units vanished, and definitely don't get why that second shows red solid, until plug in the Cat 5 to go to next unit? utb ghost
Might have been a CAT 5 - -I'll just be baffled as to why it failed with nothing happening overnight, or this morning, between those controllers as I troubleshot. Now left connecting to first neighbor's house controller by phone cable - that seems to work. And then to my initial last night, using an mP3 show director unit as just a controller on house four - it'll be end of a daisy chain........of 9 controllers now. My last night issue was connecting that 4th house, and house 3 already had an MP3 show time unit on it ......so I had two consecutive MP3 Show director units, and I guess that doesn't work.........
