Army Lights
Hi everyone, Is there anyway to have SS recognize two CCRs as one long CCR? I have two CCRs combined over the top and sides of my garage (think rectangle without the bottom). Currently, when I have SS create an Instant sequence, it treats the two CCRs as separate entities. One CCR does one thing, while the other does something completely unrelated. I'd rather have them do morphs and all that across the "boundary" between them. Thanks! jerry72
Make them as one prop in Visualizer then when you open the import Viz dialogue box, set the max grid length to 100, that way it will show all 100 nodes in that prop.

Army Lights
Thanks, I did this. It's still not treating them as one. For whatever reason, I am having A LOT of trouble with Superstar. Maybe the learning curve on it is just very high. At this point, I've completely stripped away my other channels and just created a visualization with the CCRs on my garage. In the visualization, I've created two CCR fixtures (50 pixels each) and placed them. I then created a prop and nested both of those fixtures under that prop. When I imported the viz, I did as you said and set the max length as 100. It's also checked as horizontal and normal. The outline of my garage shows up in SS. I go to instant sequence, set up some stuff on the tcm (which admittedly I'm a little lost on) and sequence it. The resulting sequence is the two CCRs doing something completely different. I'm probably missing something simple here. As always, I appreciate the support.
BrianBruderer
Superstar is indeed difficult to get roofline lights to be in a line. Send me an email at brian@superstarlights.com and I will get you going.

USe the CCR draw wizard, draw the line you need for the whole roof as one, then when it prompts you for how many nodes the strings will be, tell it 100, it will create 2 strings under the fixtures, but the prop will only be one string. Make sure you assign each string a separate controller. I just made a roof line using 2 CCR strings, Morphs worked perfect for me. If need bee, send me yer email addy, i can take strings shots of the process i sued and send them to you.

If it doesn't split it into two CCRs, it just programs the top straight part of the garage, and not the two sides. Does that seem right? I think I've already tried as you suggested, but I will try again in just a minute to make sure I'm trying everything. Thanks for the reply!!
