shane
Hi, I've spent 9 days trying to correct this problem. When I do the override to pull up setup page. I type in a ip address similar tom the one that I run last year on my other e682 controller. When I hit the update system info., it takes me off the info page. On one of my new e682 controllers the setup page and controller is staying in test mode #4. It is like the setup page isn't sending a signal to controller. Please help. Thanks
dgrant
I've got an E682 but haven't seen that ever happen. I'm thinking you might need to update or re-install the firmware. Contact SanDevices and ask questions
xmasjam
What bowser are you using? I had issues with I.E. So I used Firefox or Chrome.
k6ccc
You said you added one or more E682s this year. Do you by chance have multiple controllers with the same IP address?
Dennis Laff
After you change the IP address you have to click on restart to save the new IP address
Ebuechner
Just to clarify each controller needs a different IP address. Just the last 3 digits
shane
I am able to test the lights from set up page now. However, I did override 5 192.168.0.206 to pull it up. The e682 that I ran last year was running under 192. 168. 1.206, when I try 192.168.1.207 etc and do update system info. , it doesn't accept it or let me test under that address. I'd assume that they would operate on an address similar. Any ideas?
Dennis Laff
Are you following the proper steps to change the IP address refresh than restart
Ebuechner
If you're running this on your household network you might be trying to use an IP address that's already in use. Best way to do this is a separate Ethernet card and a completely isolated network. It's not as hard as it sounds. I'm sure everything you have works fine you just have to figure it out. sax
I have a 682 that is 1 year old and a new 6804.Here is what I see happening on my 682...When I have the LOR control panel running I am sometimes able to control the 682 but most of the time I am not. Turn off the control panel and full control returns to the 682.As a side note, sometimes some of my pixels just don't respond when I ask for say all green or all blue. I am using all ports. But they always respond to test code 15. 6804 seems faster to respond....as long as control panel is not running...and it always takes all test codes. But it is only using 3 ports and they are 50 pixels strip on one and 2 24 pixel strips.....so not many lights. This may be firmware related. 6804 does have newer firmware...but the show works just fine. Ebuechner
I may see your problem here. You cannot run control panel and a hardware utility at the same time. If they're both trying to use the same ports at the same time will be lots of fighting going on. So if you're running hardware utility turn off control panel and vice versa. It's as simple as this only one program at a time can control the lights
sax
Just to make sure it is clear....I was responding to OP. I am able to do everything I need just fine. But I did notice that I had issues doing things with the control panel going at the same time. That includes trying to change the IP address of the device. I was annoyed things weren't working....noticed control panel on....turned it off and everything worked as it should. I can see where one could get lost and frustrated that the page isn't loading or not being controlled and totally miss that the control panel is going. Or the scheduler. BTW, on my show computer I am using internet explorer. On a windows XP system. Old stuff. I also use IE but with windows 7 on my sequencing and testing PC.
