Randy Martin
My kids 8 and 10 years old always enjoyed the lights and helping (hindering) but last night was an awesome time when my daughter 8 was in the garage helping changed burnt out bulbs for the first time (her words dried up bulbs). I do a lot with my kids (racing, soccer, hockey) and now lights wow. Thanks LOR for this addiction to make families come even closer.

1983ss454
That's great, my 3 year old likes to "help". It creates more work but he loves it
Ineedmorelights
I am anxiously awaiting that day! I started this the year my oldest was born with the intent of it becoming a family thing. He's 5 now and his younger brother (3 yr) really "help". Mostly, just being in the garage and going around undoing everything I had just finished. Last year we fostered two girls (8 and 6) and they were much more inclined to help, even brought over a bunch of neighborhood kids. While that is a great memory of mine, I still see every kid who "helps", as Randy from Christmas Vacation saying "Dad, do we have to have so many lights?" But when the lights turn on and you see your kids, plus the hundreds of other kids (and adults) faces light up when they see the lights - worth it. BMurray
I've got 4 children 2 boys and 2 girls. My girls ages 24 and 16 still love to help me set up every year. My boys (22 and 18) ....not so much. But, the boys do help with tearing down and putting away....which helps a lot.
