canadianchristmas
I was helping another LOR user out and did some custom sequencing for them, I sent them the file and they got this error Error loading sequence An exception occurred! Type:UTFDataFormalException, Message:invalidbyte 1(oe) of a 1- byte sequence Has Anyone ever got this error before? also what does it mean? is the file I sent corrupted or is it a problem with their computer? I will try to troubleshoot it latter today.
bob
It's almost certainly a corrupt file (or not really a sequence, or something like that). Do you get the same problem when you try to open your copy of it? If not, I'd try just sending them another copy of it. If it's corrupt on your end, too, it's possible that I might be able to recover some data from it. I cannot promise that I will be able to. But if you'd like me to try, please send me (bob@lightorama.com) an email with the following information: (1) Your forum username. (2) This thread's URL, which is: http://forums.lightorama.com/index.php?/topic/37713-what-does-this-lor-error-mean/ (3) A copy of the file.
