ericg2000
i am using 3 ctb16pc controllers for my halloween show. two are in their third season (halloween and christmas) and one is new. when i put use the hardware control program to turn channels on/off etc everything works normal. but when i start the actual show a few elements randomly turn on and off. ex. i have my spot light on controller 1 ch 16. i have the channel on at 100% the entire show. but this channel will randomly come on and turn off through out the show. but on some songs it will stay on the whole song like it should. last year i encountered a similar problem and it turned out to be a loose j7. to fix that and get me through the the last week of december, i moved the bad controller from number 2 to 3 and it went back to normal. when i tore things down last year, i sent the bad controller in for repairs. i retested it and it seemed to work. however, the repaired controller is not currently being used. its in my garage. the 3 controllers i am using right now, i checked to network cables, they are all pushed in good, and none of the connectors on the boards appear to be loose. does anyone have any ideas? i thought it might be a bad network cable, i'm going to look at swapping them out. i'm also considering using the spare controller and swwapping it would one by one with the other controllers to see if it fixes it. i might even just rename the controllers and swap them around. what else sould i try. Don
Sounds like a duplicate channel is assigned, somewhere. If you are using the Background tab of the Show Builder, then you need to make sure that Unit1/16 isn't assigned (not even configured!) in your regular sequences. Your regular sequences would have 47 channels, with Unit1/16 not even being a configured channel. Run the entire show through the Verifier and see what results you get.
