oilmoney
I'm sure some of you on here do a haunted house every halloween season as well as the other displays. Do you make the people going through it sign a waiver? Thoughts, opinions? Does anybody have a solid copy of a waiver that they could share? oilmoney@shaw.ca
ItsMeBobO
For 10 years I had a home haunted house with many kids walking through. I too was a little concerned about a kid getting hurt. I consulted with the local police and my insurance agent. My agent said i could not charge money. If I collected money for charity it should be voluntary at the exit so they could not say its admission. The police said it would be like a block party with no special permits or anything in our city. For little ones I always talked to the parents. Two times there were falls with no injury. Only one time a parent complained their kids entered my home without the parents permission and sent police. Police came but told me they had to and thanked me for all the fun I did for the kids. I think if you ask for waivers it might be an admission you know there is something dangerous inside the house.
