Mid October setting up Christmas Display?

Hey, I wanted to see when you guys start your display. I want to start mid October to late October. I usually start around November 4 or 5 but now that I don't do a haunted house, and I have 20,000 MORE christmas lights that I purchased I want to start earlier. In all my display will have just over 100,000 lights. So when do you guys start?

I've got some stuff up for "testing" already that I won't get around to taking down. I officially begin setup on October 1. I start looking for the panic button somewhere around Oct 20th. We light on Thanksgiving.

I am halfway set up by November 1. Who wants to set up in the cold. Everyone knows I do a Christmas dispaly anymore, they are glad to see me get started setting up.

I usually start Oct 15th but this year I plan on the 1st.  But truth is I started hanging pixels last weekend on the house and they are staying put unless they have issues.

I start in the last week of October and continue till the lighting the night after Thanksgiving. A little FYI don't  put your ground lights up till last! Darn WRABBITS!!! They ate my bush lights and extension cords!! I took care of those little bastards!!! Hasenphetter  soup!!! yum!

I start testing all lights and props next week. Then just LED lights on the house and roof until November 1st. Then props on house and garage. Then yard props and trial runs. Show goes live on night after Thanksgiving and runs daily until Jan 2nd,

I have neighbors laughing as I start Setup at the last week of August....but then I get to laugh when they are putting their lights up in the cold snow while I have my Eggnog and Coffee. :D

For Christmas, usually sometime between Nov. 2 to Nov. 8, since my display is small, I don't have to start as early as a lot of you folks, and doing a Halloween Display, I don't want to be mixing Halloween Lights/Decor with Christmas Lights/Decor despite that''s the way retail stores do it today.

So once the Halloween stuff is down{not neccessarily put away}, the Christmas stuff starts going up.
