Help: how to assign DMX to 2811 on Sandevice E682

Hi, I'm still using S3, just don't want to update to S4 yet, I have a visualizer for my Halloween and I have a set of 7 2811 that will be running from E682 and 32 regular LOR channels (units 1 and 2), How can I tell to the channel config to set the 2811s to dmx? I don't see that option when running channel wizard, if this is possible to set the E682 on visualizer, how can I get that channel config to SE seq.

Or

How can I modify the SE animation positions of each 2811 and other props without have to re-draw it since I already have them drawn just not matching/lining up where they really go according with my house picture.

thanks

First you need to map universes to your E682's via "Network Preferences".

To add DMX channels from the sequence editor you do add RGB channel then pick the universe and channel numbers. This will get very tedious so many use Bob's vegomatic to add the channels.

How to map universes to devices in LOR

Jstorm all what you described is done from two years a go, what I  would like to do now is use for the first time a visualizer to match my house design, I already create a visualizer file today that include seven 2811 going to be connected to E682, already assigned the channels that are going to use two LOR controllers (16 ch each), so now what I need to do is to assign from visualizer the proper dmx settings for each 2811, I have no way to choose a dmx controller in visualizer, there is an option in visualizer called load LOR ch references and it let you choose a channel config or a sequence that contains a channel config, then you can run a sumulation mode and is when visualizer is telling me that the 2811s have no base unit assigned.

Dennis is right. Once you have your universes mapped to devices, from that point on you are referencing universes/channels (or pixels) in the visualizer. I use the "Draw Pixel" string button. You click on it, draw your prop and when you're done it asks you how many pixels make up the fixture.

"How many DMX RGB pixel should the Visualizer create for this drawing?"

You specify how many pixels then you go to the fixture and tell it what universe and pixel to start at.

This does get a little confusing since LOR doesn't think you should pixel pack, meaning start a new universe in the middle of a prop.
