Archer
Many displays have "Mega Trees" that have many many light strands that go from the top of the tree to the ground. What would you call my "Mega Tree" that has only 8 legs but does soooo many different things than the typical mega tree. My trees have 64 channels with a topper but I don't want to steal somebody's thunder by calling my tree a "Mega Tree".....go to kevinkolak.com and take a look as I have 3 in the display (22' and 12') and tell me what you'd call it......thanks. Ron Boyd
To me, anything above 15 feet high is a mega tree. 8-15 feet, I call a mini-mega tree and anything under 8 feet high is a mini tree. But, that's just what I call them. I'm quite sure everyone have their own names and criteria. Edited September 18, 2015 by Ron Boyd
Jeff Messer
Anything less that 25 feet tall is mini tree in my display.. That's the way I name them in the layout sheets. LOL...
Archer
OH.....hmmm, size does matter!....I was always under the impression that function and capabilities made it a mega tree not just bease it's tall.... I guess I have 3 mini trees that have a total of 28,800 mini lights and 130 channels.
kzaas
I just took a look at your website, you sir are awesome. That is very unselfish of you to do that for that little boy.To me those are very original trees and I don't think I have seen that style before. I think they should be called Kolak Trees. Archer
Thanks for your kind words. He is playing this year on NEW blades. I would like to think that my display played a part in getting them for him. This year I think we are going to support a community effort of refurbishing a local swimming pool that has provided enjoyment and swimming lessons for thousands of kids over the years but is now in jeopardy of going under....no pun intended. Kolak Tree has my biased vote....lol
Archer
One final note about my "Kolak Tree" that I am sorta proud of is.....22 ft high and NO GUY WIRES to support it.
