WeissWelsh
Hello, I just started using the Visualizer, which I love, but I'm having trouble with the floods. On the actual house the flood lights are very faint, but on the visualizer (when it's in simulation mode) they are extremely bright, and changing the "opacity" setting doesn't change it. I've attached three pictures. One picture is of the settings I am using for a single flood. The second picture is how that flood looks on the visualizer in edit mode (which is perfect.) The third picture is how the flood looks during actual playback (simulation mode.) As you can see the opacity during simulation looks like 100%, even though it's set to 5% in the settings. I was wondering if this is how it's supposed to look during simulation (extremely bright.) The pictures might not be uploaded in the proper order.details.jpg is the settings. vis edit.jpg is how it looks in edit mode.play vis.jpg is how it looks when it's running a sequence and is turned on (I randomly choose green during playback) Thanks, Bob
75redman
Did you set it to 5 percent in the sequence editor. Edited August 23, 2015 by 75redman
WeissWelsh
Did you set it to 5 percent in the sequence editor. In the sequence editor it is set to full brightness (100%), but that's because when it shines on the house it is still pretty faint even at 100%. I thought that the "opacity" setting on the visualizer would make it play in simulation mode with a max brightness of 5% to better show how it looks in real life. If that's not correct, then what is the opacity setting used for? Thanks for responding so quickly. Bob
LOR Staff
There is currently an issue with 4.1.2 Visualizer, the Advanced Rendering Engine, and Max Opacity. It should work like you think it should - if you set max opacity to 50% then once your channel goes above 50% the visualizer will still only show it as 50% (to allow the 'background' to sort of show through). I thought I had fixed the issue in 4.1.2, but it turns out I missed a spot . The next version has the complete fix.

I appreciate you taking the time to get back to me. BTW...... I LOVE the visualizer. I wish i had started using it a long time ago.
