Randall Huber Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 What does auto versus manual clip do in image setup? How do you get an image to scroll and stop at edge without adding a post-ramp time? I want my image to scroll and stop for a certain time and not fade.
BrianBruderer Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Auto clip means that superstar automatically sets the clipping rectangle to be around the first matrix in grid. When you have the Image setup dialog box up, you should see a yellow rectangle in the sequencing grid, the yellow rectangle is the clipping rectangle. With manual clip you can change the clipping rectangle to be whatever you want by using Shift + Left mouse drag. One reason you might want to do this is if you have a large display with more than one matrix in it, and you want to clip to the other matrix in your display. As for post-ramp, at the bottom of the image setup dialog box are all of the settings for the pre-ramp and post-ramp. To make the image stop at the edge and not fade you would set the post-ramp time to 0. And then you need to add an image that does not move at the same spot where the other image stopped. You can control how long the image stays there with the Start and End time of the image that does not move.
tomsusie Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 If you want to make TEXT stop, click the check box next to "Stop at Edge". It's located below the Direction of Motion box in the Text Setup dialog box.
