Newbie looking for a good deal on a controller...maybe from Canada?

We are fairly new in this hobby but we (my husband) and I already know that we are in it for the long haul. We live in Cold Lake, Alberta Canada. This year has been so far a little rough with the drop in oil prices and my husband working in the patch but we know we have great things to look forward to in the next few months with Halloween and Christmas decorating and planning. We'd like to order a 3rd controller but are getting hit hard with International shipping cost. Does anyone in Canada have any used controllers for sale or know of any Canadian companies that actually sell them?

I sold 20 16 channel controllers & most of them went to BC or here in Alberta, the rest to Ontario & Florida. To bad you weren't on one of the Canadian Christmas Forums because most of the controllers were sold on there.  I would wait until the Lor Summer sale & then buy them. On the other hand why not look at something like this ........

 http://store.creativelightingdisplays.com/CLD-2D-Mega-Tree-16-RGB-Smart-Strips-WS2811-Package-ReadyToGO-CLD-STP-2811-16PKG.htm

& just have a 16 ccr tree & maybe a controller to run lights on your house & that way you can get the Lor software as well.

The link Mega Arch gave is the forum you want to go to. The other forum hasn't been updated in a long while & no one can join it.  Still there are some good reads... www.christmaslights.ca.

I haven't been on lightenupcanada for a bit simply because I have been working on ccr tree sequences, & doing yard work, & working on display items. Winters in Alberta start early & ends late. 6 months of winter sucks & therefore we try to do all we can now & then we head back to the forum.

I do check out the forum & log in & comment as does some others.

Are you looking forward to the Canada Day fireworks for Detroit & Windsor on the Detroit River?

Just out of curiosity do you have the Superstar software or are you going to use X-Lights software? Not that you need it because you can buy pre-made sequences at fair prices from Holidaysequences.com for 12 or 16 ccr trees.

I am not sure if Marty is going to do this song for his 16 ccr tree but wouldn't it be cool to do " Danger Zone".......would be a good tribute to the fighter pilots in Cold Lake.

We bought our software and a few Halloween sequences from Wow Lights last year so whatever software they use is what we use.

Re fireworks, I'm a little bit up river to see the fire works. I can certainly hear them. I've found trying to get to see them, is very difficult with the rat race.
