Griz
Have had too many problems with Animated Lighting and changing over to LOR in Jan 08. Was wondering what controller is the same as the AL ELD or BLD 16. It's a 30 amp total (15 amp per 8 channels). Don't have a problem soldering. Looking to buy 5 or 6, 16 channel controllers. Thanks a million, Griz

Thanks a million, GrizThat's great. LOR has wonderful customer service. I switched myself 2 years ago. SDembski
I don't have any experience with A.L. products but I believe all of the LOR controllers are a minimum of 15 Amps (30Amps per Controller) per bank of 8 with the standard heatsink. If you have the high power heat sinks then you can have 20 Amps max (40 Amps per Controller) for each bank of 8 except for the CTB16PC line which is only rated for a max of 30 Amps per controller. If you want to prebuilt boards then I recommend the CTB-16D.http://store.lightorama.com/ctcotrbo.htmlIf you want to solder your own boards then either the CTB16PChttp://store.lightorama.com/ctb16pcpage.htmlor the CTB16K.http://store.lightorama.com/ctb16kpage.htmlI plan on adding at least another 96 channels and will probably order the CTB16K deluxe with high powered heat sink kits.I hope this gives you a starting point.Edit----fixed incorrect information
