jfelix
Doug are they used? If so how many years have they been in service?
dougd
Yes used. Some 1 Year, most 2 years. A few go back 3 years when I switched from multi color to white.
Mega Arch
Yes used. Some 1 Year, most 2 years. A few go back 3 years..... Doug, I'm not in the market for any more LED's as I've already spent more during the pre-sales than I probably should have. But I thought I'd chime in to see if I might be able to help you.... Most shows run 3 to 5 hours per night. A typical season for a Christmas Display is 30 days, maybe 40 if one burns thru New Years Day. Halloween is a week at best and the same for the 4th of July. So let's assume the maximum burn time as follows: 5 hours per day x 54 days(40+7+7) is 270 hours per year. LED's are rated 20,000 to 50,000 hours. Using the minimum of 20,000 divided by 270 is 74 years. So if all your lights were the full 3 seasons old, they should still last 71 more years. So your disclaimer on being used LED's wouldn't need to be much more than: "yes, they are pre-tested light strands". Just saying... Daniel
jfelix
Daniel thanks for chiming in but sometimes those ratings mean squat. I've got HD LED's that have been in service since 2007 and still going. I've bought some from other stores that didn't last the season. I think Doug is selling his at a fair price but it's good to know how long they been in service. ItsMeBobO
I am with you jfelix. The hours rating is just for the bulb. Gotta know the years in service and failure rates from the batch. The wire could be worn weathered stretched corroded who knows. I had a whole batch of blue LED strings fail in one year. Also have some incan props that I wish would fail so I can replace them. Doug This year I am looking for 96 or more strings of white LEDs all the same style. Can be 50/70/100. Do you have any in this large qty?
dougd
I might have that many in 5mm. I will get a count at some point today.

And besides - it makes for some fun math and keeps Doug's post going back up to the top...
