Archer
I work for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as a Maintenance Foreman. For those that are unfamiliar with buying liquor in Pa let me bring you up to par.....all liquor in the state of Pa is sold through over 600 state owned liquor stores. The state controls all liquor/wine sales by selling them in stores that they (the state of Pa) own....last year nearly $2 billion in sales. Everybody that works in the stores is a state employee.....having said that, The PLCB has a publication they place on the stores called the "Grapevine". The latest edition that they make available to the public features an article about my Christmas display and I have to say they did a good job in that article. Over 600 stores state wide will have this publication available for the general public with an article about my display.....I am stoked!!! I've already seen a spike in the views on Vimeo made available through my website kevinkolak.com. I don't normally blow my own horn but thanks to my employer the PLCB. Meegan
Good stuff! I have family up in Newport and pointed them your way to see the show this past year. Very nice job, too, on the charitable work.

k6ccc
Is it available on-line (the article, not the drinking stuff)?

rwertz
Our spirits store didn't have the magazine. But luckily they still had plenty of vodka. So the trip wasn't a complete waste.
Archer
I was the foreman in charge of building the Dillsburg store. How about all those columns we had to work around. The very first day that store was open it did nearly 50K in sales.....you guys were thirsty. I am not sure the Grapevine is available online or not. I can view it online but that's only through our state computers and only while at work through the state servers. I'll eventually have it on my website but until then I'll see if I can attach a PDF to this conversation.
rwertz
Until that store was opened the nearest store was 20 minutes away. It was like prohibition ended in Dillsburg. The store looks nice and I didn't even notice the poles... until you mentioned them
