blbeattie Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I so far have only put online 7 of our 22 songs from this years show. I have recorded a few more, but have not gotten around to touching them up for 'publication. That, and some songs are just not good candidates for putting online (some of the slower, more Spiritual songs where the detail is in the song, not the lights). By the way, Vimeo is now analyzing posted video's for copyrighted content (as has been discussed here previously). One way to get around that is to either crop out a small portion of the audio (you can hear that in the "Amazing Grace" video) and/or slow the clip down where it really is not even noticeable (at least to my ear). http://vimeo.com/113990469 http://vimeo.com/113840604 http://vimeo.com/115757572 http://vimeo.com/115756413 http://vimeo.com/115757312 http://vimeo.com/113816528 http://vimeo.com/115755447
blbeattie Posted January 7, 2015 Author Posted January 7, 2015 Ooops... Although, 4 of those videos were shot in 2015...
Santas Helper Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Just kidding.Great job by the way. A crisp setup there. He's getting a jump on all of us. I know. I almost felt like I was behind already. LOL
blbeattie Posted January 7, 2015 Author Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) I find it kind of refreshing to think I'm already locked into next years show, and don't have to change anything. Edited January 7, 2015 by blbeattie
Santas Helper Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I find it kind of refreshing to think I'm already locked into next years show, and don't have to change anything. True, just refresh this thread in about October and get everyone in a panic. LOL
sasmuse Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Wow! Nice job. Really crisp programming. What program do you use to do the pixel sequencing?
blbeattie Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 Most of the pixel sequencing is done in SuperStar Sequencer, although some of the effects are done in Xlights/Nutcracker.
Gary Blair Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Nice job and I agree it is very crisp. What are your nine trees made of?Gary
blbeattie Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 Those minitrees are made of coroplast. I got them from Holidaycoro.com.
mfrost55 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 What kind of pixels did you use in your trees?
blbeattie Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 I used "Pixabulbs" from DIYLedExpress (WS2811 IC - Dual 5050 RGB LEDs - 12v).
aesl1982 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 For your mega tree how long are you r strands. How tall is ur tree and what spacing did you use. That looks awesone
jem5136 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I love the "Lights of Christmas", especially your pixel tree. Would you share the sequence if I said please? lol
1983ss454 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I love the "Lights of Christmas", especially your pixel tree. Would you share the sequence if I said please? lol The pixel tree sequence is purchased from Holidaysequences.com, he does great work
dgrant Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I agree...pixel tree sequences from HolidaySequences.com is outstanding! What are using for your arches?
lowepg Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I see you mentioned holidaycoro. I was considering their 16-strip "ccr" tree. This looks like bulbs? Is the programming the same for the bulbs vs strips?
blbeattie Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) The arches are CCR's attached to PVC. The megatree has CCP's attached to Pixel Mega Tree Strips through a group buy on Doityourselfchristmas.com. The programming will be the same for strips and bulbs. And the Megatree sequences I bought from holidaysequences can be amazing. Edited January 10, 2015 by blbeattie
