Bizywk
Frustrated with tomato cage GFI trips, we came up with an idea the other day to use small office trash can liners to protect the zip plugs from water. We use sealed LEDs, put the plugs in bags with careful attention to make sure we didn't funnel water towards the plugs, secured the bags with bread ties and tucked them inside the trees off the ground so they were concealed from view. No more GFI trips and no taping required meaning a faster installation.
GregT
Thanks for sharing. I've heard a lot of people have issues withthe metal cages tripping GFCI's so it is cool to see something that works.

htebault
I had stopped the GFI problem with my small trees by using PVC pipe "tree trunks" for the tomato cages to "hang" from, so they do not touch the ground. No issues since I did that.
