Papa6058
Started raining Wednesday and when the show started it ran about 3 minutes and then trips the GFCI, I reset it once and same thing. Yesterday I went out looked for any cords that maybe laying in water everything looked good. I turned everything back on through hardware utility and every light on. I put everything on 100% for an hour, shimmer for about 2 hours then left on twinkle for the rest of the day and everything worked fine. About 10 minutes before show time I enabled the schedule, it started ran about 3 minutes and trips the GFCI. I restarted and just ran Shimmer all night through Hardware Utility. What is so different between a test and a show? They all get data and electricity. I just can't seem to wrap my mind around what's up. I am sure if it was completely dry all would work, but not seeing dry for the rest of the year. Any suggestions are very much appreciated! ItsMeBobO
That is confusing. Are all 6 controllers on the same GFCI? It has helped me find the problem controller by isolating them to their own circuit.
Papa6058
Yes, all controllers and lights run off on outlet in the yard and the computer and transmitter both run off one outlet in the garage, both of those are on the same GFCI as are the bathrooms. Jim Hans
I agree with the above try to isolate your controllers to find the one tripping. Then identify the channel. You can also try splitting your controllers over two circuits. Could also be a bad GFCI plug. Only a couple of bucks to change it out.
wbaker4
How about the trip being caused by a surge. Do you have parts where a lot of lights come on at once? I added a few more circuits this year - each having its own GFCI and have not had any trips - even during the storm that gave us 3 inches of rain. Darryl Lambert
I would test at night after the show is over. I find its much damper in the evening. Also just turn them on 100% no shimmer. You can't be certain with shimmer if all the lights are full on at the same time.
Papa6058
Ok, I started this post 4 hours ago, but I opened my garage door at 8am to work this out, but never got to it. I just walked in 5 minutes ago. I got in the garage my Mom needed to go to an emergency Dr appointment, 3 minutes after got her home my middle granddaughter called crying my wife was in a car accident, I got to the hospital due to number of folks I got to take one of my granddaughters home. I got home I had not scheduled the show, I got it going and wha la it worked. I sat down to make this post letting everyone know it was just some moisture somewhere that must have dried up and my oldest granddaughter calls she was picking up my tiniest granddaughter and her car broke down with my wife still very shoken up from back and neck pain, three granddaughters and their mother. Out the door I go get everyone diagnose the problem get everyone home make plans to work on car tomorrow, but when I get home the show is still going strong! What a day, week, month wow please please NEVER ask what else could happen! Be blessed with what we have and the grace God has bestowed on us one and all! Max-Paul
Sorry to hear about life around your place. May the Lord seen you have had more than enough on your plate for awhile now and give you some time of peace. Makes my silly head cold a stroll through the park in the spring time.
