khawes
Ray Wu was kind enough to replace my bath of "bad chip" technicolor pixels. the new pixels are 3 core (the old were 4 core San Devices compatible). Ray also sent replacement pigtials but they are only 9" long and the SanDevices case needs them to be between 15" and 20" long. Does anyone know where I can find 3 core water proof female connectors that are compatible with Ray's? I would love to fine them locally so I can replace the dying strings on my pixel tree before Christmas.
Darryl Lambert
If your really stuck you could cut the 4 core pigtails from the bad strings. Leave the 4 core pigtails on the sandevice cut off the unused wire ( for clock) & splice the pigtails you just cut off the bad strings onto your new strings. halfmoonhr
Will HolidayCoro 3 Pins connections work for you. I got a few from them. I was Wowed by the heaver gage of wires.
marsh28
Easy fix. Just cut up a 16/3 AWG extension cord and solder to the end of the pigtail to make up the difference in length.
dgrant
I agree, just extend what you have. Butt splices and heatshrink will work too.
khawes
Thank you for the suggestions, I've decided to extend them for this year as simply as possible and order longer ones, for a more durable/neat solution.
