Snowman Down

When the lights turned on tonight and i noticed the inflatable snowman wasn't inflating. What do you know, some punk took a knife and sliced it open! They did it to my neighbors inflatable as well. Believe it or not i have never had my display vandalized before.

I had the same thing happen a few years ago. They slashed my 8' tall inflatable snow globe. I fixed it for the rest of the season with clear duct tape. I'm sure they were surprised when it was up & running after 12 hours.

I'm sure they returned to finish it off. 2 days later I see a vehicle outside at 2 in the morning. I ran into the garage to throw on my shoes & grab a baseball bat! Just when Someone got out of the van & approached the snow globe my wife opened the front door & yelled at them. Hindsight being what it is. I wished she hadn't scared them off. They hadn't done anything this time so I couldn't prove nothing.

I confronted them, baseball bat in hand, I let them know that I knew who they were & if so much as 1 bulb is broken I'd be looking for them.

Nothings been touched since

Too many punks out there.  I had a $7,500 Miller Welder/Generator stolen from jobsite over the weekend... Less than 100 hours on it...  Neighbors snowman got knifed last week.  Knife my snowman, give me my welder back!  Or better yet go get a job and don't do either!

Personally I would prefer to go after them with a shotgun. Far more intimidating. Although I would have to be really careful where I fired ;)

Just an update, or whatever you wanna call it.

Yesterday came home and saw, on the front door, that someone left an anonymous donation of $100 and a card that reads "This is a donation to help with the damage. Don't let others spoil our Christmas Cheer!"

Also on another note the HOA Admin (who actually came to see the display) sent out an email saying that there were multiple other reported cases of Vandalism in the neighborhood on Saturday night.

They make rubber bullets. :D  Or use a paint ball gun.
