CLD Kevin
The U.S. Navy called me yesterday and wanted my to help them decorate one of their destroyers with RGB floods sync to music in San Diego Harbor. They needed it all done by Wednesday (always last second). I'm still a bit slammed with last minute stuff, but want to help. I pretty much had everything they needed and I'm going to sequence it for them. But I didn't have an FM transmitter. Needs to reach out about 700ft-800ft. They are only going to run it for a week only. Anyone is the area that I can borrow or purchase? Or where I can purchase one and ship out Monday for next day shipping to have by Tuesday? I purchased a Fail Safe but ended up being defective. The ones I see on Amazon all ship dates are estimated. I need exact date to arrive Tuesday. Wednesday at the latest but that's cutting it close. uncledan
I second Evilmonkey. I bought off amazon and got in two days. This thing is awesome. Transmits a bit farther than it should I think.. Article in newspaper on my display last week said how far this thing transmits. Shhhhhh...
EvilM0nkey
So you're saying you have a garage full of those newspapers now lol Low power is too low on mine, but on a clear night it only reaches out for about 1/4 mile. On a cloudy night it goes for miles. oops.
uncledan
Pretty much.. The reporter asked how far it transmits. I told him farther than it should. Please don't put that in the paper! " The signal is so strong it overtakes National Public Radio while driving on Highway 246" goes in the newspaper... Great...

CLD Kevin
I was able to get a get a Ramsey FM30. Works great. I have a FS-CZH-05B which I believe is similar as EvilMonkey but it showed up defective. Fail Safe is going to replace but will take weeks. I'm good now....thanks for the reply. dgrant
If it transmitted a bit farther, while attached to a Naval Destroyer, I doubt the FCC would complain too much.
EvilM0nkey
For future reference this video was recorded with audio from my car's radio. The transmitter is sitting on a table inside the room to stage right.
Bob Hall
The power button on my mbb-v6000 stopped working last night. Fortunately I got it to turn on after about 128 pushes on the button. Ordered one of these last night:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CM2VPMQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
CLD Kevin
Either I have the worse luck in the world or I'm seriously an idiot. Received my replacement transmitter today and it does the exact same thing. Cant get 20ft out. I made sure it was set to High. I also have a fm30 and can get all the way down the street and more? Its not rocket science....just plug in and play. So they either sent me the same unit back or its crap. Being that so many of you have great luck with this unit....I say they sent me the same unit back. Here is the unit I purchased:http://www.amazon.com/0-5-Fail-Safe-Long-Range-Transmitter/dp/B003FO4UHW

Mike G
Whoa - I wanted to buy one to replace my Whole House unit. But if it doesn't come on when power is applied - I don't want it. Which unit is best that will turn on when power is applied? Daniel I have a Ramsey FM25B, a Sainsonic AX-05B, and a CZE-15A. The CZE-15A is the one I currently use and it came with an antenna that has 5 attachments so you can tune the antenna. I have used all three of them with a timer to turn them on and off. bob_moody
I have a Ramsey FM25B that's been in use for 10 years now. I press the power button and use X10 to turn it off and on each night. Has been reliable and stable since day one.
CLD Kevin
Problem solved on the 2nd unit. I had the source volume cranked up....forgot to check. As soon as I lowered to 50%, the static cleared.
